Lodge Alley is my favorite timeshare of all time. It's located in the
old part of Charleston South Carolina, across the street
from the old customs house. It's only 2 blocks from the ocean, but
there's no beach. Lodge Alley also has my favorite fancy restaurant
of all time.... The High Cotton.
Here's two views of Lodage Alley
The rooms are very nice and each room seems to be unique. They have
varying types of kitchens, but at least a fridge
and a microwave in the smallest and full kitchens in the bigger rooms.
Internet was still dial-up when I was there in January 2004. The charge
for local calls was about $1 each time I
connected.
Parking is valet only, so figure the cost of tips whenever you come and go.
You can walk everywhere in the old city,
especially for eating. There are so many nice places to eat within
about 3 blocks of this place and there's a small
grocery and convenience store around the corner.
Everything is walking distance from here, the best food, drink, entertainment
and shopping. There's a cigar shop a
block away and numerous antique stores.
