  7409.1600 INSURANCE-RELATED OFFENSES.  

    Subpart 1.  Failure to maintain insurance.  The 
 commissioner shall revoke the driver's license of a person upon 
 receiving a record of conviction under Minnesota Statutes, 
 section 169.797, for operating an uninsured vehicle, for a 
 period of:  

      A.  30 days, if the person has no other convictions 
 under Minnesota Statutes, section 169.797, within a five-year 
 period; 

      B.  90 days, if the person has been convicted two 
 times under Minnesota Statutes, section 169.797, within a 
 five-year period; 

      C.  180 days, if the person has been convicted three 
 times under Minnesota Statutes, section 169.797, within a 
 five-year period; or 

      D.  one year, if the person has been convicted four or 
 more times under Minnesota Statutes, section 169.797, within a 
 five-year period.  

    Subp. 2.  Failure to produce proof of insurance.  The 
 commissioner shall revoke the driver's license of a person who 
 fails to produce proof of insurance under Minnesota Statutes, 
 section 169.792.  The revocation period is 30 days or until the 
 person files proof of insurance, whichever period is longer.
